Home Improvement or fixing the broken? | And The Little Ones Too

by Ashley T on May 22, 2012

Spring is the time for home improvement. Don?t we all know it.

My husband has been working on fixing up the yard the last couple of weeks. I calmly watch him from inside the house. While spring cleaning. Like crazy. While doing that, I always notice the other things that need to be fixed or replaced, which are never good things? not at all.

Anyone else notice that pipes and such always seem to break when the world starts to thaw out from the winter and come into spring? I mean everywhere you go are sales for everything that you might need for your home and they all start when we start to warm up. For instance, my co-worker always has issues when its time to turn on the air. Something isn?t working right. She was told that there is a possibility she may need to buy a new furnace. That sucks big time.

So if you were having plumbing issues, ?I?m betting you might have been looking for some PVC pipe to help out with that. I don?t know much about fixing things but I?ve seen the schedule 80 CPVC?fittings? you know, the reinforcements/ connectors for the pipes. See! I might know a little bit about home?improvement?over here. Say you need one of those Blue White meters? yeah I don?t know exactly what you would use a meter for but seriously, this is why I worry about owning a house. I?m afraid the minute we sign those papers (again) everything will fall apart. This scare isn?t going to keep me from owning a house but home improvement scares me about as much as everything falling apart. But I figure that you can think of it as improving your house instead of darn, something else broke.

It is much better to think of improving your house more than ?fixing what?s broken?? don?t you think?
